I began private practice in 1980, and my
background includes experience as a psychiatric technician,
social work supervisor, supervisor of MFT interns, and
adjunct faculty for the Union Institute & University at
Los Angeles. The psychology of the artist was the focus of
my Goddard College graduate work. Creative hobbies have included
singing jazz and writing theatre criticism.
My approach is primarily Jungian, but draws on
many other sources, including cognitive therapy, Freud, and existentialist
psychology. The style is lively, non-dogmatic, and appreciative
of the unique qualities of every person’s inner life and of his or her
circumstances.
